Fines SA has over 25 years’ experience in the vehicle administration industry; including, launching Personalised number plates, queuing services and traffic fine software and processing for individuals, businesses and major fleets.
Fines SA is a wholly owned division of Mekaish Group and is powered by Mekaish Traffic Fine management proprietary software.
It is currently the leading aggregator of traffic fine data in South Africa.
Barry Berman, founded Mekaish Group in 1994, introducing a marketplace for low digit and unusual CA number plates to car enthusiasts and collectors alike throughout Cape Town. Additional vehicle administration services were soon added including; license renewal, registrations, number transfers, number plate manufacture etc.
“Managing fleet traffic fines has resulted in a visible change in behaviour of drivers who are penalized timeously for traffic infringements. This saves lives on our roads and safer driving protects our client’s assets from accidents and damage.”
He is a prominent and well-known figure in the automotive industry throughout South Africa since introducing personalised number plates, thereby giving motorists the ultimate choice in expressing themselves, marketing a brand or just having fun.
In 2002 the company innovated again setting its sights on professionalizing the fragmented traffic fine industry. Fines SA, previously Mekaish traffic fine management, is currently the market leading business in assisting motorists, businesses and fleets in receiving a national fine status report, offering a discount, paying of fines, and finally issuing receipts.
No service fees are charged so the consumer saves making it perfect sense to be on the Fines SA platform.
Berman states, “managing fleet traffic fines has resulted in a visible change in behaviour of drivers who are penalized timeously for traffic infringements. This saves lives on our roads and safer driving protects our client’s assets from accidents and damage.”
Motorists who don’t pay their fines are now finding it impossible to renew their license discs as Municipalities are blocking these ID numbers. This may result in further fines for expired licenses as well as insurance companies not honouring a claim if the license disc has lapsed.
Fines SA prides itself as being the only business of its kind in SA to offer a central database for checking what fines you have outstanding and furthermore offering a discount of up to 20% off these fines.
